Hi! Welcome to my blog! I’m Samantha; a
teenager adult who blogs about everything from homeschooling to frugality to World War II. I began this blog in June 2013 as a way to share my passions and knowledge with others, and I never dreamed it would grow into what it has became today.
I’m a college freshman, and work as a graphic designer and the official CEO of The Parsi Company. Unprofessionally, I am a writer, book-lover, and WWII historian. I love politics, frugality, homeschooling, and procrastination. When not blogging, I mostly spend my time reading, experimenting with Photoshop, trying to speak Hebrew, and wasting time on Pinterest. Like my blog, I continue to be a work in progress, and I am continually growing.
A few other random facts about me:
- I live in Indiana, USA.
- I was adopted from China at six months old.
- I’ve been homeschooled since fourth grade.
- My favorite band is Casting Crowns.
- I am fluent in movie quotes.
- I am a guest contributor at True Aim Education, Homeschool Encouragement, and Free Homeschool Deals.
The Blog Title
I have a huge passion for Israel and the Jewish people, which includes their language, Hebrew. “Le Chaim” (pronounced “hayyim”) means “To Life” in Hebrew. Conservatives are right-wing, hence “On The Right.” So, my blog title is literally “To Life on the Right.” Not only was it catchy, but it sounded like a toast to my amazing life: frugality, history, homeschool, faith, and all the in-between.
My 5 Life Quotes:
“Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes.” -The Count of Monte Cristo, 2002
“Be curious. Read widely. Try new things. I think a lot of what people call intelligence just boils down to curiosity.” -A. Schwartz
“You have enemies? Good. That mean’s you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” -Winston Churchill
“And it was most important to do what one knew was right, for otherwise the day might come when one could no longer tell the difference between right and wrong.” Anne Holm, I Am David
“Since it is so likely that (children) will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise you are making their destiny not brighter but darker.” -C.S. Lewis
If you found my story, blog, or just me interesting, I’d love for you to follow along on my crazy journey!
PS This blog is solely mine. My parents don’t help me with posts, and they are certainly not brainwashing me. :)
